Biography
A Swinginʼ Affair are a sophisticated jazz ensemble specializing in delivering vibrant and engaging performances. Their repertoire of carefully selected jazz standards is approached with a fresh, modern sound ensuring they appeal to a wide audience. The groupʼs performances can make a large audience feel intimate, or uplift even the smallest crowd.
Formed in 2006, members of A Swinginʼ Affair have rapidly established themselves as much in-demand professionals in their hometowns of Brisbane, Australia, and Philadelphia, USA (Nimrod Speaks). Experiences include national tours, numerous festival appearances, international performances, countless corporate and private functions, finalist of both national and local vocal competitions, and performing alongside several nationally and internationally recognized jazz musicians.
In 2011, the group was invited to fulfill a 4-month contract onboard the Allure of the Seas, Royal Caribbean Internationalʼs newest (and the worldʼs largest) cruise ship, during its inaugural season.
