Charlie Horse

Charlie Horse are a funk, blues and jazz band featuring some of Brisbane’s leading musicians.  They play the music of Grant Green, Kenny Burrell, Lee Morgan, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Herbie Hancock and more. The standard lineup is Drums, Bass, Congas, Organ, Trumpet, Trombone and Guitar and vocal. This line up guarantees a sound reminiscent of the great 70’s funk bands.

With a lively and energetic feel it seems the music resonates to a wide audience, in particular, those who like to dance. 

Forming in 2001 Charlie Horse has played all off Brisbane's finest funky venues in both Westend and Fortitude Valley as well as performing for wedding,corporate events and festivals such as Noosa Jazz and Valley Jazz. With added option of vocals this funky band is perfect for both private and corporate gigs.
