The Caxton Street Jazz Band

The Caxton Street Jazz Band is Queensland's and one of Australia's leading

Jazz Bands. The band is renowned for being hot and tight, as well as for its

variety of repertoire and entertainment value. The CSJB includes some of

Australia's leading players in the idiom.

The band is in demand for all nature of private functions, from weddings, to

private parties, to corporate functions. Many testimonials are available

which confirm the CSJB's appeal to a wide range of age groups and audiences.

The band is also a regular performer at SEQ and NNSW jazz clubs and jazz

festivals.

The Caxton Street Jazz Band is a 6-piece band consisting of trumpet,

clarinet/tenor sax, trombone/banjo/vocal, piano/vocal, double bass,

drums/washboard. The band will sometimes break down to a smaller group

(known as the Caxton Street Jazztette) for more intimate functions and

weddings where the requirement is for "cool" rather than "hot", or where

budgetary constraints exist.
