The Quadratic Contingency
Biography
The Quadratic Contingency (TQC) are a collaborative Post Jazz/experimental ensemble that explores the grey areas that otherwise defines typical genres such as Noise, Jazz, World and Minimalism. TQC previewed their debut performance during 2009 alongside the nationally acclaimed ensemble, ‘The West End Composers Collective’ and has since then played with International touring phenomenon ‘Misinterprotato’ and Nationally acclaimed Robert Davidson (Topology). In 2010, TQC launched their debut self titled EP at the Globe Theater to what was described by critics as one of the most outstanding performances of the year, “This outfit no doubt has the potential to be very world class indeed” Aaron, Rave Magazine. "Paul Young and The Quadratic Contingency are presenting some of the most original and innovative experimental work in the Brisbane music scene today," Robert Davidson (Topology). The Ep itself has been warmly received as one of the most original EP releases of 2010.
