Zoe Knight

Zoe Knight has been singing since an early age, her first memory is of belting out Bette Midler in the shower & jamming to Roy Orbison in the kitchen.  Although her style has changed… her passion for music & singing has only flourished.  

Her roots are found in the classical & soft pop genre, trained at many prestigious institutions under incredible mentors such as Catie Halliday, Joy Yates, Ingrid James & Betty Motzing. At the tender age of ten, she began appearing in many eisteddfods, local concerts & musicals until her late teens, when having discovered her love of Jazz, she won the 2004 Distinction award for Jaanz School of Singing Australia (Delta Goodrem, Anastacia). Next she joined infamous Sydney Vocal Group Jubilation (Jade MacRae) while going on to study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music to further her musical knowledge. 

Currently based in Brisbane & fresh from recording her new Live EP 'The Small Hours' with premiere Australian Jazz Guitarist James Sherlock, she is considered an exciting ‘artist to watch’ on the National Jazz Scene. Amongst her favourite gigs are Backing vocals for Evermore at the MTV Awards, Josh Groban at the Sydney Opera House & as Regular Co-host of Jazz QLD's Jazz Singer's Jam at Brisbane Jazz Club. On the Management Committee of Jazz QLD, she is honoured to be an active and enthusiastic part of a vibrant, growing Jazz Scene.

Her endearing sense of humour, honesty, professionalism & ‘liquid gold’ vocals is what brings people back to see her again & again. Her ability to ‘communicate the emotions & story of a song & breathe fresh life into old favourites’ has been reported as the quality that ensures her success. As well as being a Soul & Blues singer & an alluring Presenter, her New Classic Groove version of Jazz will add a sense of old school fun, excitement, class & warmth to any event.
